In 1973, deep in the Amazon, a young Belgian filmmaker met a Kayapó chief. What began as a chance encounter turned into a decades-long bond between Jean-Pierre Dutilleux and Chief Raoni, one of the most powerful Indigenous voices of our time. Over 50 years, Dutilleux captured Raoni’s fight to protect his people, their land, and their way of life. Their journey reached the world stage in 1978 with the Oscar-nominated film Raoni, featuring Marlon Brando. Now, this new chapter revisits their story: a tribute to Raoni's leadership and legacy in the ongoing struggle for the Amazon and the rights of its first peoples.
